I have some spare pcb's available if it helps anyone.
It presents a 6x5 arrangement of tactile switches (with an optional 6x1 stripe auxiliary), with a Adafruit TCA8418 module connected on the back A simple QWIIC socket connects to a I2C bus. It works with eg a quick ino from adafruit.
Hardly novel but it might help avoid some hackwork. The labels are padded for comfort.
