There Cogging a 36 poles LG stator?

Hi, I need to know if a stator of 36 poles LG (motor of washing machine) has cogging?
What is the best solutions if exist cogging, 7 poles or rounded Poles?

Do you still have access to the shaft and the bearing that the motor wbuas on
if so you can put it back on there and give it a spin and tell how much cogging it's has

I have three or four of them
I haven't done anything with the ones I have
cogging is not bad at all on any of them one of them looks pretty similar to yours I would say likely the cogging wouldn't be a problem
the wind speed probably needs to be enough to overcome this anyway
I would suggest private messaging one of the guys on here that's built these already
look around on this form there is a pretty recent post about this
you'll see several of them
most people on here are very nice and more than willing to help and highly intelligent also
they get paid a lot of money for the advice they give us for free
keep that in mind
give them the credit that's due be nice they'll probably help you

I've recently been working on the same model and as the poles are rounded, it spins very smoothly. I rewired it to 3x4C and am getting upto 20V output. Next step to build the blades and test it out in the wind. I salvaged the bearing and shaft, worth doing if you still have them.

some late info.   if you want a good pma,  JUST BUY ONE.  on ebay/amazon.   look for  permanent magnet alternator.  (and KNOW the SPECs  that you want.)    the somewhat unique design of an f&p motor results in zero cogging.    but there are OTHER ISSUES to consider.   in a 36 pole, 3-phase stator, there are  TWELVE coils per phase.
in a pma, there should ONLY be  THREE coils per phase.
the stock ROTOR has a certain config.   changing the config of the stator does NOT  change the rotor config.   cheers
