Hi Guys, because my old one is damaged I am looking for a 5" LC display for the TFT Maximite. What I need is a supplier and/or manufacturer number for the 5 inch version. Geoff wrote here : Maybe I can search for a HannStar HSD050I9W1-A or EastRising ER-TFT050-3? (I just replaced the "43" with "50"). My old (damaged) LCD shows no part number. I'm not sure if this would work. I know, I can order it from SEGOR (segor.de 35), but that seems too expensive. Any opinions or ideas? Thanks in advance. Regards Michael |

Just finding out could be fatal, so itīs probably too risky. Getting an adequate part for only more 25 Euros is not bad, just consider the time and warranty ordering from a german vendor. I would simply order it from segor! Of course it generally "hurts" somehow to pay more than being lowly possible, but at least the reversal of the burden of proof within the first 6 month for technical defects is very valuable in case of need! So assuming it will successfully work a certain time, just recalculate the 35 Euros on this and it wonīt be much at all. How long did your broken display work and how did it happen to get crocked? Hi Andre, thanks for your advice. I haven't used the TFT Maximite in years. It was only loose in the drawer so I don't want to invest much. Today I finally printed a case for it and saw the damage. It's more for the crafting box, but it was my entry into the world of Mites. So I have no planned project with it. BTW. I found your interesting website today. Congratulation! Greetings Michael |

Hi Michael I understand, but I think itīs still worth it! Checking up the segor site again after a couple of years my fingers just started itching again ... The touch display still is very interesting, so I would not underestimate it. The CMM2 is more a game-machine, so for itīs special capability the TFT-MM still appears to be a great tool, isnīt it? It wasnīt me ... Just a variegated bouquet and still and always under construction. But one point concerning costs that always bugged me were the shipping costs, actually you must not include them, because they are always extra and those 6 Euros are quite normal. So actually 29 Bucks is nothing, if it really works without problems and otherwise the legal basis is better! I think it is just a matter of living and let living even vendors, too! Concerning shipping conditions I usually give the mail[wo]man some tip extra, just honouring his/her efforts. I just made my mind free from any concerns about costs, if itīs worth it, then it just is and if not I just leave it. Just consider the extra time spend to get it all managed ... Hello Andre, I don't want to start a philosophical discussion here. I may never use the part again - I'm quite old and there are till so many projects to research. It's just sentimentality, striving for effectiveness and completeness, and an interest in displays. I don't know if you understand that ... ... after all, it made me find the Poppysmo site. At the moment I tend to buy an AT050TN33 compatible display (9 ). |

Great song... Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

To whom it may concern: The display arrived very well packed from china yesterday. So far as I have been able to test everything works perfectly - display and touch. Cost: $ 10 including shipping. Shipping time: 13 days. Regards Michael |
