Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi all NC users (if there is more than one),
I'm looking for the ideas for anyVIEWER (F3 key) or ACTION (ENTER key) needed for NC. Something could be built-in, something maybe as external.

Right I'm (slowly) preparing C64 packet (some image formats, maybe also 6502 code viewer from my new project), more images general (not just simple viewer, but with informations - size, colors etc.), extending BAS viewer (right now just lists all FUNCTIONs and SUBs)...

If you have some ideas (or better are you willing to participate it as external viewer/action), please let me know.

I wouldn't like to change NC into big slow duck, but some useful functions coul be good.

The thing I used most when using NC was the hex viewer and editor.
Graphics where rare in the days ...

And the HEX viewer in Napoleon is OK for you? It can be forced for every file with ALT-F3 (it's in the manual, but I forgot it in shortcut section...)

I'm preparing now elementary HEX editor for F4, it will be simple but not limited by file size. For more sofisticated work you can use HEXEDIT from epsilon.

Hi Jiri,
I certainly find it useful. I also reworded your "MANUAL.TXT" file on my system to improve the English readability. It is here
NC MANUAL.zip
if you want to substitute it for your original.

Hi Greg,
thank you, I uploaded manual with your changes, but because in the meantime I have put into NC some new features, it's extended again. If you are ready to check it again direct from GitHub, it helps me, also any texts from F1 Shortcuts or About...
Format of MANUAL.TXT is 35 rows for every page, in one row should be maximum of 98 char (100 - 1 space left and 1 space right), because text viewer from NC is scrolling just by pages.

Hi Jiri,
OK, will do. I've been busy with grandchildren today but will check it out tomorrow.

Hi Jiri,
I've edited the Manual.txt file again and the Shortcut/About section of the NC.bas files - both were V0.63.
I'm not sure whether the 'LALT' is a typo or not shortcut(13) so I've left it.
Files are here
MANUAL.zip
and here.
