Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I stepped over this by accident - maybe interesting Matthias built a Gamma Ray Spectrocop with an Pico and found some inconsistencies in the aquired data. DIY Gamma Spectrocsope He found an investigation about some design flaws of the RP2040 ADC from Mark Omo Characterizing the Pico ADC Mark did some detailed measuring and found that some capacitor values in the chip are slightly off, causing nonlinear behaviour Pico ADC Nonlinearity Mark also found some interesting facts about the Low Noise PS for the ADC PSU Noise Edited 2022-06-24 00:00 by bigfix |

Hi bigfix, Thank you for the information. This topic has been discussed here already, most of it is over 1 year old. But it is always good to be reminded there is still a design flaw in the RP2040. It might already have been fixed....? Volhout PicomiteVGA PETSCII ROBOTS |

No it isn't fixed and is even documented in the offical Pico datasheet. If I can get aways with a tiny bit more processing time due to the i2c protocol, I use the even better external ADS1115 I2C ADC. Greetings Daniel Edited 2022-06-24 02:15 by Amnesie |
