Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Maximite Control:

This covers everything that is used to control the Maximite Computer, or the PIC32 micro, and has nothing to do with any 26 pin I/O connector devices that are connected to the rear of the unit.

So it covers Keyboard, Screen, and SD card at this stage.
It may cover an on board Real Time Clock, with battery Backup, in the near future.

I gathered the information that has been presented on this forum, summarized it, and posted the results at:
http://www.themaximitecomputer.com/maximite-control/

During this process, I came up with:

TV or Composite Video:

No data at all. Software is designed for PAL, and I see that NTSC should be able to be run with a patch to the firmware, or perhaps setting a software flag. I have added this to the wish list.

Perhaps "PAL ON" and "NTSC ON" via flag for Composite Video Control. I just added it as Wish 25:

Howdy

Us poor yanks are out of sync with all y'all's clocks. At least our TVs need to be in sync with the MM via NTSC :-)

so I don't think you will mix us up.

I put Wish25: there for y'all as I knew y'all would bring all y'all friends along eventually, and gang up on us even poorer backwater folks here in the wonderful land of OZ.

Do you mean a card reader Brian?

If this is what you are after and you are just around the corner, you can have one on me, if you want to come around and pick one up.

I am at Tullamarine.

If you PM me your email address, we can sort the Card Reader out.

I haven't done a version upgrade yet, and would need to read the details.
I know it isn't that difficult.

Why don't you tell us where you are up to, and we should be able to reach a conclusion.

hi

if you are still looking for a card reader, the ZIPP PS2020 form Big W (under $20)
works OK also you get three additional USB ports and reads most major types
of cards. also the Lexar platinum II 8 Gig SDHC card works OK with the maximite.
In the interests of the environment, this post has been constructed entirely from recycled electrons.
