Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hey guys.
How are we all tonight?

There have been many lovely statements about serial comms, such as "Serial nightmare" and "Wonderful world of serial" and the one that gets just about EVERYONE at some point when playing with serial: "TXD with respect to which end was it again?"

I've been playing with serial comms for years, and I still get confused with the TXD and RXD lines from time to time...

Using the pauses between characters method DID work, once I got the delay down to 3mS. With pause 5, it did not respond, but started to at pause 3. Also worked with pause 2 and pause 1 from memory. As the S2 option when opening the COM port seems to be working perfectly, I will just use that, but I hear what you are saying about the idea of having the output with pauses you can tweak, inside a sub.Edited by Grogster 2014-05-26
Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops!
