Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Are there any (MMBASIC) test programs for the uMite on PIC32MX150F128D?

I flashed the 4.5D hex onto http://www.bypic.byvac.com/index.php/BV502 and it seems OK but wondered about more of a test, preferably something fairly thorough.

Thanks in advance for any ideas etc.

John,

Please advise what you mean by 4.5D (or is this a typo?)

Regarding testing, why not simply pulse each output (high one at a time) connecting to 33 LEDs (simple enough to do on a breadboard.

Then if each LED lights then you know you have connectivity.

Confirm that there are no resistors (pull-ups OR pull-downs) for any dedicated features to this module on an y of the 33 I/O pins - if so I would advise removing them.

No need to check all functions such as SPI, I2C, LCD, one-wire etc as these have all been Beta tested - just simply check 'connectivity'.

Job done . . . .

Phil
No typo, V4.5d for micromite was released around 25 May 2014 or slightly earlier.

Bob, John

Thanks for the confirmation and the link - no wonder I missed that one!
I will wait for Geoff to release it 'officially' before I update all my stock of MicroMites!

Out of curiosity, do either of you know for certain what the changes are in 4.5D (or is it only related to the issue in the 'Measuring the width of a pulse' thread)?

Thanks for any info . . . .

4.4D only added the PULSIN command (nothing more) and was more of a test. I need to some extra work to do on the firmware (fix a few bugs, testing, etc) before I can make it into a proper release.

I hope I didn't cause trouble by mentioning 4.5D!

I was just wanting to say it looks fine on a different 44-pin board (which is also very cheap at £6.50, i.e. US $10, including PIC32MX150F128D chip etc).

It had a different language system flashed into it but a PICkit3 soon changed that :)
