G'day Bruce,
Still kickin about down here mate and I have been reading this thread with interest.

Now that bike brake disk is the purfect option, now getting that to mount behind the blade would require a new adapter plate so the bore can mount on the genny only if the output of the genny is a parallel shaft. But aint the exmork a tapered shaft output off memory. So then some nice machining would be needed to suit the genny taper. The brake caliper would have a boss on on the new adapter also the blades can be mounted, now if the blades have that same tapered bore then another plate would be needed.

One would need to know the state of the output shaft from the genny too.

Now as that bike brake caliper would be hydraulic not much oil be needed so a small master cylinder can be made then need to be powered. Actually I did look at this concept a few years ago with my 4kw motor conversion. I did make up a crude conept and made my own master cylinder. Now only had finish the ram shaft and got called away for a phone call. Never got back to that project either so may have to drag it out.

Anyway mate brilliant idea for doing the mod on a exmork, now pic's and sizes of the caliper and genny mount would be a start and before any electronics can be done the mechanical bits need doing first. I should get my scanner going again as a simple sketch can show the mount idea.
