Hi folks.

While looking around the net, I found this neat web-based PCB track width calculator:

Track Width Calculator

What's neat about it, is that it is very flexible and allows easy calculation of track widths depending on current, distance, trace length and pour thickness. Many different units including inches, mm, mil etc. Calculated both internal and external track widths.

I like this page!
Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops!

I needed to be able to pass about 3-amps through some tracks, so wanted to make sure I was making them big enough. I was using the "1mm per amp" rule, so the tracks were 3mm wide, which seems to be plenty according to the calculator.
Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops!
