Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Has anyone ever made a R61505V-based TFT operational from a MM? I see there is a good selection of those in AliExpress, and they are relatively cheap and round. http://rittle.org -------------- |

A round TFT..? Awesome... This would be perfect for gauge displays... Where did you see them..? |

Can't see any with any sort of breakout board. The bare flexible PCB makes things too hard to develop with as you never know if problems are software or hardware. |

I've often wondered how the pixel addressing works on these round TFTs. The spec says 220(RGB)x220 (whatever that means!). Where do you think pixel x=0,y=0 is? Could it be the centre? Or is it the top left Seriously, has anyone played with one of these ever to enlighten me on pixel x,y referencing WW For everything Micromite visit micromite.org Direct Email: whitewizzard@micromite.o |

There are two possible ways to interpret this: 1. The circle is embedded into an imaginary square, and all pixels which are not within the circle are not physically implemented. That means the pixel with coordinates (0,0) actually does not exist on the screen. 2. The entire circle is a one-dimentional helical line like a CD with (0,0) being in the centre. Which one of these is in reality - I am yet to find out. I have a nice idea for a project with round display, but apparently they are all using either ST7789 (the smaller ones), or R61505V (the bigger ones), and neither of these is currently supported by MM http://rittle.org -------------- |
