Bigmik, REALLY PERFECT would be this Device, with an Openwrt Linux Image on it. With WIFI, Rj45, RS232 and the complete World of Linux ( shell etc.) is open for you. No limits to the limits of your Imagination;-) Linux |

Hi JMan, All, @JMan, Thanks for that, it looks readable (sort of) but boy it is a heap of code to digest.. I am currently exploring the possibility of using a Static IP address, (actually a range of static IP addresses to select from) or at worst case enter one in on power-up. I have asked the question to see if there is an IP address that is un-allocated that I can permanently use, but as the system hasnt yet been installed that information probably is, at this stage, unobtainable. I figure we can do a WSPING from the main control room end and find an IP that hasnt been allocated and adopt that at worst case.. So it is still a possible route to go with.
