I like your choice of colors - integrates very well into a living space

previous version were much more "agressive" in their look

good job !

That is one piece of art. I know it's taken you a while, but the end product will be a sight to behold.

I've watched your progress with much interest, your trials and tribulations, and I salute your continuing efforts.

Top stuff!

Thanks everyone I'll post the code up soon as I'm happy that it's working as good as I can get it.
I'll do it on a new post though to keep this one clean

New version, slightly updated, I added leading or trailing 0's where needed
and I centered up some of the icons
The reason the "Snow" isn't centered is because there are longer words for other descriptions, and I didn't want them crossing into the box on the right

Oh I forgot to add in the previous post, that I'm using ESP Basic to get the weather code from Openweathermap and parse it, so the only thing the Micromite is really doing is displaying what's being received

I'm actually quite pleased with it.

I'm going to make a circuit board either with a 64pin MM that fits on the back of the 7" display, or one that the Explore64 plugs into then fits direcely on the back of the display
It's a waste using an Explore100 for such a simple task.

Unless someone else want's to make a board with an PIC32MX470F512H-I/PT or similar that MM Plus runs on and plugs directly onto the back of the SSD1963
The only external components it needs other than the bits to make the MM work a Mini SD Card socket and either a DHT22 or DS18B20 and an ESP8266 ?

it would need the following I believe
1455 USB Serial Interface
5V 1A regulator
3.3V 500mA regulator
Micro SD card connector
Micro USB connector
and the various caps and crystal to connect to the PIC32MX470F512H-I/PT
and a 40 pin header to fit onto the back of the display panel

I completely redesigned the display
I think it looks a lot better than the 1st one with "Big Ben"
Many thanks to Jman and Disco4now for helping me to get the touch working properly and the parsing of the data correct for both screens
Next step is to figure out how to make a graph so there will be a 3rd screen showing data over a period or periods of time.

Youtube link where you can see the touch working - this was before I put the moon on the display

Hi Lewis,

In my Caravan System Monitor - here - I have four graphs embedded - feel free to have a look through the code (towards the bottom there are four subroutines for drawing the graphs).

There was a bit of fiddling around to get the graphs to overlay some GUI Display boxes and then restore the Display boxes after. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

regards,
panky.

Wow, great work! Are you considering offering this project as a kit?
