Maybe this topic has already been dealt with repeatedly. My impression is, there is only little information on controlling the PicoMite using the TeraTerm terminal on a Windows XP netbook (32-bit) which I found in a drawer looking for an alternative to Screen on a MacBook. I needed XMODEM file transfer... 32-bit software for Windows XP is tedious to discover and unearth. The problem starts with finding a browser... I hope I can save someone's precious time sharing these hints. javascript:AddSmileyIcon('  ')*** Run Pico/WebMite using a Win XP netbook (Atom CPU, 32 bit) A) Install... 1. Windows XP and basic drivers from CDs 2. Mypal 29.3.0 (32-bit) browser (old version) from https://www.mypal-browser.org/download.html 3. TeraTerm 4.106, download from https://tera-term.en.lo4d.com/windows 4. zadig_xp-2.2.exe, download from https://zadig.akeo.ie/downloads/ B) Connect with PicoMite using appropriate USB cable C) Run zadig and identify 'Pico (Interface 0)..' or something similar, select 'USB Serial (CDC)' from right selector, click on 'Install Driver'. D) Run TeraTerm and select Serial. If all went well, 'Pico (Interface 0)' or something similar will appear together with the COM port. E) Hit [Enter] to obtain MM.Basic prompt, edit your preferences and be productive. BR Digger |

Thank you for sharing. I myself converted my netbooks to linux since the malperformed more and more with each windos update. Maybe it is good to mention your netbook brand and type, because there is no such thing as a netbook class. They vary fron N270 to i3 with 512M ram to 4G.
