What are the recommendations for GPS modules that can be used with MM platforms?

Nice module,

Watch out, it uses a rechargeable cell. Not a CR1220 lithium battery.

Neo6 or 7 GPS modules usually have standard 9600 baud TTL serial comms that you can parse for the 'Mites without the GPS functions in the firmware.

I agree.  I particularly like the VK2828U8G5LF because it has the 1pps signal that makes a nice interrupt.

I looked at Palcal's GPS module recommendations and the first one was £2.98 to the UK and I thought great I may buy one of those until I noticed the postage £25.40!!! May be not.

Make sure you are looking at the UK version of the AE site. Search by the type number.
Buy 2 at £4.45 each and get free shipping. :)

@ grumpyoldgeek and others,
I have 2 VK2828U8G5LF modules, that is with the U8 and not U7, they worked with the GPS function on a Picomite but would not work with a Micromite. I found that they don't work if you use $GPRMC or $GPGGA they use $GNRMC and $GNGGA.
