Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Interesting - it has 100 pins but the ic is the 144 pin package - there must be a feature that is thereby enabled. What size capacitors are those ? They are utterly tiny - way beyond my soldering (eesh) |

Greeting from Vancouver, I found this board schematic. Unfortunately some of the pins are not connected. Bo |

That seems like a waste.... Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

After realizing that the pin numbers on this PIC32MZ board do NOT correspond to the chip pin numbers, I was able to program this card with MMX MMBASIC. I followed the schematic for the 144 pin MMX board purchased from Phil at micromite.org. Here's a picture of the setup for programming and communicating with the board. It includes one of Phil's USB interface boards (upper right corner) and an ICSP connector (middle right) configured as MCLR => pin 91, PGD => pin 101, PGC => 102. The 3.3 volt power supply is located at the lower right with connections to pin 26 (3.3 volt) and pin 25 as ground. The USB-RX is connected to pin 64 and the TX to pin 63 of the PIC32MZ board. |
