Peters manual for the Armite has a good summary of the differences between the various devices with the exception of the Maximite. Each release of the micromite firmware contains a folder with various CFUNCTIONS which should be suitable for that version of MMBasic. Programs written for the newer versions of MMBasic may use INTEGERS which aren't available on the Maximite (V4.5D) It is possible to write code that runs on all versions. There are current SDcard drivers for the 28 pin micromite but I am not sure how different they are to the ones you are referring to. If I want storage I use micromite-plus or newer.
