Just noticed the selection of special characters. Thanks! ✓ ⏚ is nifty, no more typing "Ground" over and over.

Just recently I have been noticing this when viewing the forum on my iphone:
It only happens for my posts. I don't know if it is due to ME looking at MY posts or whether my posts are doing it for everyone. It doesn't happen for the PC.
I was going to test it by logging off on my iphone and then checking whether it happens if the forum didn't know it was me looking. Trouble is I can't log off on the iphone either that facility seems to have disappeared!

I see it on my posts on my Android phone too Bill.
Best wishes,

I reported this error to Gizmo one week ago. There's something wrong with the PHP for mobile. I'm waiting for access to the source code; maybe we can convert the two source codes (desktop and mobile) into only one and use CSS and @media to transform the page to the correct form factor.

That problem I reported above has gone away. If you have done something Leo, you have done well
The phone screen also seems a little easier to set up. Before when I tried to enlarge it a bit, it would jump around and I could rarely get it how I want. That seems to have improved.
I can still not find any way to log off though.

How do we report a BOT or fake user? There is one in the Electronics forum, I could not see an option.
Full disclosure - I haven't been to Specsavers yet.

Is there a safe way to see if the links in those posts install spyware or harmful content?

Links appears valid, company exists in various publications. Stupid BOT attempt to advertise IMHO.

IMHO, it would be good to have the ability to put a reaction under a message in the form of emojis with counters for a quick reaction to messages on the forum. It would be great to react to a post and see such a reaction from forum participants. Perhaps I am spoiled by modern social networks

Yeah I've though about this off and on.
I would only have a "Like" button. That way the poster gets some feedback that people liked his* post.
But then, if I posted something, and didn't get any "Likes", I would be depressed.
Maybe its better to not know if people like you post or not.
Glenn.
* I say "his" because there is a mayor lack of women on this forum. I guess because most of the members are 50 plus and reliving their interests from their youth, back in a time when most women just didn't take up electronics unfortunately. When I started my apprenticeship with Telecom in 1982, in our intake of 72 apprentices, 2 were girls. But I'm encouraged by the growth in young female "makers" getting into electronics and robotics these last few years.

Any estimate of how many "views" are from bots vs how many from actual people ? I am guessing that (very roughly) 30 or so "views" per post are from engines (?)

No idea. Depends if the bot or search engine behaves like a browser and accepts cookies, etc.
