'tis true. This board has influenced my enclosure design and is held by either plastic clips as part of the case or a double-sided sticky foam pad (this is surprisingly good). Other versions do have holes, but this is the only one with the Winbond Flash RAM position.

I must confess to ignorance about that but I haven't had any problems at a stock 3v3. Maybe I have been lucky?
