Even if you could boot from SD card, wouldn't you still need a PC to obtain the SD Card image and then write it out to an SD Card?
Even if you bought a pre-written "boot" SD Card, you'd still need a PC in order to apply firmware updates (as the CMM2 doesn't have Internet access to download updates directly).
Of course, if you don't have a PC and you want a CMM2, then just buy a pre-assembled CMM2 (instead of a kitset), and live with the fact that a later firmware update is going to require someone with a PC (either way). |
