The aerosharp range, from 1kw, 1.5kw, 2kw, 3kw all have the same diameter copper wire that is not potted in, so they lend themselves well to unwinding and reusing the copper.
Other brands might be a bit of a hit-and -miss affair in terms of copper wire thickness, potted core, etc.
Not sure why other brands are not too popular in this forum, maybe it's because Aero-sharps were not considered very reliable by those in the industry so there may be more faulty ones out there?
I've taken apart a few now, and I'm very happy with their quality. Since I haven't repaired any, maybe they all share a common failure point.
