Hi all.
G2 unit.
Plug in USB mouse, OPTION MOUSE 0 at console. All four solder-blobs are blobbed. IC5 is NOT installed.
EDIT or FILES results in mouse pointer showing up at top-left, but about two seconds later, a message: "Mouse timeout 1"
I have tried several different mice from old to new, but they all report the same issue. Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong?

I don't have a MS Basic mouse, but I will have to get one I think.
Page 63 of the user manual states that if enabled, but not plugged in and working, I will get an error message - which is what I am getting, so I am wondering if it is simply that the mice I have here, are ALL USB-only type, so don't respond to the firmware trying to talk to them in PS/2 mode.
Is that the most likely cause do you think?
