What a mess .
I hope AUKUS isn't going to be a cash cow to fund the clean up.
I can't see the benefit in funding/buying Brit submarines for use in the Indo-Pacific. It raises questions of what Brit policy will be if there is a conflict of interest.
On one hand the UK makes a lot of money selling Aus minerals to China and avoids any clash. On the other there is the tension between the US (the USA being vital to Aus) and China re access and use of the ocean areas. Will Brit subs defend Brit interests at the expense of Aus ?
