Following @thwill's procedure it does hang on the second transfer.
> XMODEM RECEIVE "lazer-cycle.bas" <-------OK
> RUN
> XMODEM RECEIVE "lazer-cycle.bas" <-------Hangs at 512 bytes
Typing CLEAR after running does not restore normal XMODEM operation.
