to put this into perspective, comparing energy use of a car verses energy use of a bicycle, I would like to add:
20 Ah, 48V Lithium battery, a nice mountain bike, a 83kg person. I did 80km on the Warburton rail trail on a charge and had some left over. I guess maybe only 20% remained. Some peddling was required and enjoyed. Volts went from about 52 down to about 44 so I take it as 48V for the trip. 20 x 48 x 0.8 = 0.768W.hr / 80km or 0.96 kW.hr / 100km |
