Man time seems to fly when one works nightshift and with the bleak weather this week was the first time the inverter went beep late at night. So got on and tried out the new extension lead for the battery charger and then I noticed it was connected to one of the shorted leads where I do know I took off and coiled up. So asked the wife did she reconnect one of those leads and she said she did. Well that 80 amp Staff&Stanbury 80 amp charger has had it's day as it does show mains are present but lcd screen nothing. Checked all the fuses and all were true aswell, so connected up a spare 175 amp anderson connector and went and got my forklift charger from my shed and finally got the battery charging.

So over 20 odds years this charger ate many extension leads and has seen 4 gensets thru it's life. So not a bad run and looking at the internals it's got diodes, resistors etc all wire wrapped so trying to trace the circuit would be a nightmare.

Finished off on the roof this morning so the 1.5Kw array just needs the connection done in the shed, got another 100/50 MPPT to use and that's a morning job as I have done enough for one day.
