I just realised the second part of your question about 74HC86, my Rev5 board had buffer transistors so a 74HC86 should not be used -it is only recommended for 5-6mA loads,
The earlier schematic may have shown HC86 but the recently posted 6 PDFs of BOM, ASSY abd Scematic should be used. Apologies for any confusion earlier schematics may have caused.
