Anyone who has actually used the AT commands in the original firmware is likely to appreciate the vastly greater power and convenience of other ESP firmware. If you flash something like ESP-Link, you've got immediate pass-through (after you set up the wifi--just as you have to do with AT commands with the original firmware). In addition, you may well get "original" firmware which is very much outdated compared to the most recent "AT"-based firmware.
