Christian,

Print mounted at the bottom with M2 nylon bushings with 2 holes and spacers between Olimex DS3231 and third hole for support. The two holes on Olimex print on the side without connector correspond approximately to DS3231 hence M2 bushings.
Make sure that button cell at the bottom is accessible for replacement. The 4 wires directly soldered to the bottom Olimex 10-pin print connector pin 1,2,5,6. 1=3V3, 2=GND, 5=SCL=GP9, 6=SDA=GP8. The other 2 spacers next to the 10-pin Olimex connector are 18.7 mm (8+10mm) for me. Can be M2 or M3 bushings.
The top 10-pin flat cable connector is therefore still usable and not affected by the DS3231 module. The 3 pins GP0 and GP1 and GND above next to USB can be used for an external UART COM1 with HDMI firmware. Now a template for the pin numbers and have used for Pico print pins with long pins and print connector sockets with long pins which work well.

Greetings,

Jan.
