It also taught me that zener voltages are waaaay more "nominal" than I expected, but that then lead to the happy accident of finding three for the crowbar(s) on the PSU on my build plate heater that meant I could drop the power in the event of an over voltage way below the 3.6V absMaxV on the 170... the spread of values got me to spot on 3.5V for the critical VCC - cheers Volhout h Edited 2025-03-24 03:14 by CaptainBoing
