Did some wiring and fitted a few other bits, installed the 24v 50AH LiFePO4 battery and a main switch with shunt, put a small 20A inline fuse for the 500w motor controller, Time to give it a test run. It run around the yard ok and then up a steep little hill behind the house and popped the little 20amp fuse, sort of expected that, could see it getting 20amps and a little over on the power meter, still this was just a test so that fuse was sacrificial and replaced with a 30Amp fuse everything is working well.
Its not fast, just gets up to a brisk walking speed which is fine for around the yard, tried it going up the driveway (its reasonably steep at the front of the carport) and with some effort one could manage to give it all the throttle it had (leaned back) and managed to get the front wheels off the ground momentarily, no Chance of it going arse over... on this driveway, if it was going to be used in steeper places then I would consider putting a safety bar or wheel at the back. It will need a hand brake as is can free run down the driveway, no way to stop, there are a still a few things to do mostly cosmetic stuff, cover the battery compartment and lights etc, but at least its a runner.
