Hello all,
I have a quick question for you.
When I boot the CMM2 it always asks for the keyboard and the time / date.
I have an RTC (and I did OPTION DS3231 ON and the battery is inserted) - so how do I avoid this constant asking for keyboard / time?
Thank you for any suggestions!
(I am running 5.07 as 6.00 does not work at all with my keyboard)
Thank you!
PS: I have a picomite too - but the CMM2 behaves not exactly the same, hence the questions Edited 2025-06-21 18:40 by Gadgetguy |

Yeah, I wish there was an option to bypass the time/date input altogether.
Means that no-keyboard embedded system would be dependent on a healthy battery. |

This is normal? So why is there a battery powered clock if one needs to enter the time and date every time? |

It is not normal. Your RTC is kaput, or battery is flat, or in upside down.
Note the batteries in the original CMM2 had an appallingly short life span. I don't know if that is still the case.
Best wishes,

Having re-read your initial post I think I know what is happening.
Are you using the default onboard RTC or have you installed the optional high resolution DS3231 module ?
If as I suspect it is the former then try OPTION DS3231 OFF.
Best wishes,
