I would have expected too what you describe. But my question to Peter goes a bit further. I'm still trying to figure out how the strange effects like the spooky "Static" problem (above) came about. These effects are all difficult to prove/reproduce – just like spooks. It would also be interesting to clarify whether the effects are limited to RAM or can destroy data on the drive, even after the files with overly long names have been deleted.
