For plant control you are better with a crude system. Pulse from the Pico, via a capacitor so it doesn't matter if the output gets stuck, retriggers a monostable that cuts IO power if it times out. You may need a second monostable to allow the Pico to boot in the first place. It's usually safe to just kill all power, but not always! External watchdogs are the way to go. A dual 555 would be fine. True and tested, with no micro content. |
