Definitely NOT!

MOST monitor or TV speakers are horrible - hence the use of a soundbar or a HT amplifier setup that you connect up so the sound does not go via the TV/monitor speakers.

I was just having a bit of a dig at some(generally only new members) who would moan that the audio was not on the HDMI output.  Not that it matters, cos you can easily make use of the DAC output, and couple that into your amp, if you need to go that far with the HDMIUSBI2S unit!

Re: 4-Layer PCB's - they are very affordable now, provided you keep the size down.  My RT2040 board that is a plop-in replacement for the WS2040-Zero module, is 4-layer, but cos it is very SMALL, it only costs about a buck a board, perhaps less.  The bigger the PCB, the larger the cost, and that works for all number of layers.
