Someone else there had a dBase II database with similar data. They'd enter a query and there'd be wait ... wait ... wait ... and a screen of data would show. Mine with a like query would show a screen full as fast as you could hit the <Enter> key--with data on floppy disk. If you want to put your indices on storage media, you have the wait ... problem--although flash access on the RP2350B is orders of magnitude faster than floppy disks. There are trade-offs.
