It looks like the propulsion is either diesel or gas turbine, instead of the original designs ability to use both combined for speed. Extra fuel storage is fitted.
The gas turbine is a RR Aviation Trent, marine version. Gas turbines do drink a lot. The estimate I saw suggests Trents at cruise output have a fuel burn of 4000 - 5000 litres/hour.
(Assuming it doesn't pop a turbine of course
