A kind of "hack"  according to C, which relies on the Pico using an ARM with a little-endian format:

Dim XminAddr As integer
XminAddr = PEEK(VARADDR Xmin)
Dlo = PEEK(BYTE XminAddr)
Dhi = PEEK(BYTE (XminAddr+1))
