Decide to start off a diary as a log of my interest in the Maximite Computer. I wish I had done it 33 years ago, when I got into the TRS-80 scene. Thought it may be of interest. If it isn't then don't look. stuarts Senior Member Joined: 15/06/2011 Location: Australia Posts: 199	Posted: 08:57am 22 Jun 2011       Don, you're such a newbie in Maximites..... ;) Mine is a story of frustration...... 27-4-11 Bought April Silicon Chip for a different project. 27-4-11 Discovered Maximite article and couldn't get the March issue 30-4-11 Ordered Maximite from Altronics 01-5-11 Found I wont get it until July. Its actually arrived 02-5-11 Ordered boards from BatchPCB, ordered PIC32 from Microchip 09-5-11 Waited 12-5-11 PIC32 arrives 16-5-11 Waited 20-5-11 Boards finally shipped 27-5-11 BatchPCB boards finally arrive 28-5-11 Assemble first board - cant make it boot 07-6-11 Lots of troubleshooting, no success. Order 2 more PIC32s 14-6-11 PIC32s arrive, build up second board. Same result, wont boot 17-6-11 Pick up one of Richards from Don, nice to see one go 20-6-11 Accidentally work out what is stopping my other from booting 21-6-11 Altronics kit arrives. Now I have one Maximite, one minimal Maximite, one Maximite SM1 and an unbuilt kit. Time to play now...... Stuart
