Ubuntu terminal

I can use it to connect to my MM when it arrives. There have been good tips an the forum. HOWEVER, I never use windows anymore. I dual boot into Ubuntu linux (currently 10.10) and I use it 99% of the time. I have to use Windows for Netflix. Can someone give me tips on terminal emulator software? How will I configure it to use the usb port to talk to the MM? Bill Old school. Still interested. Head in the clouds.
