Well I've finally finished this little K220 shunt regulator and I was kinda hoping that one of you electro wiz guys could check my work - and tell me a few things about the board itself.

The image is a link to a 199kb 1400x1300 jpg file that is a closeup of the board assembled front and back. I even flipped the backside image so the components on the topside matched the solder points on the bottom.

I've made a few comments on the image which I hope someone can respond to - easier than asking a whole heap of questions here without a reference. Here's a link to the schematics.

The next question is, how do I know it works? I don't, and I have no idea how to check it - any help please

I actually found the soldering easy using my little gadget magifying glass, but I had a real problem identifying some of the diodes - colour variation was the main cause.
