Hi Group, I've started bolting steel together for a guyed mast that will hold my 10footer,I hope. It will be a permenent stub tower guyed at 25 feet.
At the bottom of this will be a pivot pin that will take the raise and lower mast section--the top of the stub mast acting as a gin-pole with a pulley block and the raising /lowering wire rope coming down to the base,then away to the winch.
Total height will be in the order of 55 feet,depending on the size of the mill.-I'll be able to shange things easily.
Attached is a couple of pic's of the raising of the gin-pole,well,actually a ginpole to raise a ginpole .
If you have never had rigging experience,DON'T attempt this . Get someone in that is a rigger.
