Below are suppliers of Maximites, MicroMites, add on boards and other bits and pieces. These suppliers have been recommended by forum members, or are forum members. It pays to shop around, compare prices, exchange rates and delivery times.

micromite.org, United Kingdom, forum member WhiteWizard.

circuitgizmos.com, USA, forum member CircuitGizmos.

BigMik, Australia, forum member BigMik.

Silicon Chip, Australia.

RicTech, New Zealand, forum member Grogster.

And of course Altronics and Jaycar carry a Maximite kit and usually have PicAxe chips in stock.

Please feel free to suggest other suppliers if you feel you can recommend them. Please no negative comments about any supplier. If you feel any supplier should be taken off the list, send me a private message explaining why.

Glenn,

Maybe add each user's name near the link to their site in case someone would like an easy way to PM on here?

Not sure if this is the right place but just wanted to post to say a big thank you to DonTronics and WhiteWizard for the service I have recently had from both companies.

Both went the extra mile to help me and both provided very excelent service.

I use Semtronics in Queen St Mitcham Vic. Melways ref 48H9. They are on the east side of Rooks Rd about half way down on the left.

Don't be put off by their web site. They are a small company & don't have the manpower to keep it up to date.

They are generally cheaper (often significantly) than the big 2 & can resell for both of them.

Hi Glenn,

Could you please drop Dontronics off this list as we sadly shut the site down today.

Strangely, the URL we had listed here was a temporary URL used when I was shifting servers, and I let the domain name expire about 4 to 6 weeks ago. As it turned out, an Indonesian Casino grabbed the name, and called it "Dontronic" on the page and not "Dontronics", so that may confuse a few readers.

My other domains, I have re-directed to dontronics.com with a message of explanation about the shutdown.

Thank you very much for your support over the years. It was very much appreciated.

Cheers Don...

Hi Don,

Sad to see you leave the industry.
I remember ordering off you when you had the 'Printer Buffer' so many years ago.
Also when renewing my 'PIC Basic Pro' after the sad passing of the Don.
So many people I have dealt with in the past have left us. Stay around mate.
Hope to see you on the Forum for many years to come.
Thankyou for your great service over the years.

Regard, Mike B.

PS.

I guess Penny just didn't have it in her.
I hope she has a wonderful life.

Thats done Don.

Noticed Mik's stuff lives on http://www.dontronics.com/micks-mite/files/, that still works, should I leave it as such?

Thanks very much Glenn,

yes Mick's URL is fine. That will be there as long as I am around.

I know I will have a backlog of redirects to fix now, but the main ones are in place.

Cheers Don...

Thanks for the kind words and feedback Mike. I sold around 4000 of those printer buffers basically before the Internet came along, so I feel that wasn't a bad effort.

I had many in-depth conversations with "the Don" over the years. Some great memories.

Cheers Don...

Hi there :)

Can anybody who has ordered at www.micromite.org tell me about reaction- and delivery times? I have ordered a CMM2 fully assembled and it was "available on backorder". I know I have to wait, I just wanted to know how long this may possibly be. But when I  reach out for them via website or eMail I do not get an answer. As with Corona these are times where you always have to hope that everyones is okay, I will just not press on and just wait. But maybe someone here who has ordered a CMM2 (if there is someone) from them can tell me, how long it took for them to send the product out.

Thanks and Greetings from Germany

I've had great service and he provided me with one of the first CMM2 in the wild.

I'm sure that in his guise as the WhiteWizzard he will be along soon.

Tom

Please rest assured that micromite.org is still up and functioning.

Emails may be slow at the moment. There is a personal reason for the temporary lack of communication that I am not at liberty to talk about.

Thank you very much. There was so much positives on the shop in this forum that I have no worries. I will just wait... even if I am looking forward to this machine like a little kid waiting for christmas.

Jep, the shop is generally reliable yet, so just give it some time for being a one-man-show and outside Germany ... and soon much farer.

"Backorder" probably means that some certain amount of orders is needed before it gets going.

And waiting for the "complete with pre-cut Front and Rear panels" will have taken some time, last time I visited this page they were not available yet.
