The DG1022 is a good generator. Default output is bipolar.
You can set output to have a DC offset.
So, choose 2.5V DC offset with wave amplitude of 5V.
Output will now range from 0 to 5V.
The distortion you are seeing is probably due to the negative
part of the waveform output from the DG1022 being clamped to near zero
thanks to the nano digital pin internal diode protections.
