Various aspects of home brew inverters

Solar Mike Guru Joined: 08/02/2015 Location: New Zealand Posts: 1138	Posted: 11:53pm 28 Mar 2017       I traced out part of the IR2110 boost circuit for the 7500 watt inverter, the boost drivers are Tip41\42C emitter follower pair, each pair driving 5 x HY4008 parallel mosfets in one leg of the H-Bridge. No gate to source resistors are used here, just the single 5K resistor as shown. The bootstrap diode UF4007 charges the upper bias caps to 12 volts when the lower mosfet turns on. Cheers Mike
