Something I will mention again for those wanting to sync with a generator for off grid. My old Trace inverters allow up to 3 KHZ either side of 50HZ. Anything greater than that and it disconnects from the generator. These inverters use a 30A relay and when it is happy that it is in sync it closes the relay to connect AC to the transformer. The same inverter also can back feed into the grid but is not approved for that in Australia, something to do with how it detects when the grid goes down. If you could come up with a solution that includes that slightly wider frequency range I for one would like to make use of it. I am sure there are others that would find this useful too.
