Hi experts, look Im  adept at basic programing,
However, cannot get mmedit nor Teraterm to find COM ports, so cannot even get started because Windows 8 wont let me under the bonnet,  any advice, is it the antiviral software?, is it my ineptitude at windows,  I can guess at the  45 Com ports listed , its tedious , how would one approach this blockage? regards George
