GLENN,
Iwas looking through your site and saw the turbine you made using an Oatley motor and PVC BLADES. Do you have any specs for making these blades? I'd like to try it! GREAT SITE YOU HAVE HERE!
    THANKS

Hi Steve.

Sorry mate but there was no real measurements in the making of those blades. Like a lot of my stuff, I just do what feels right, and ended up with some good blades. From memory, the blades were cut from 250mm ID PVC pipe, and each blade is about 700mm long. I used a power file to get a nice aerodynamic profile. Each blade took about 15 minutes to make and they work pretty good.

See if you can pick up a length of PVC pipe, make a template with cardboard so you get all blades the same shape, and experiment. Its also worth visiting www.fieldlines.com and doing a search for PVC blades, that will turn up some info for you.
