After too long "Lurkin", decided to jump in here.

Between WindStuffNow Ed's site, The Dan's site, and here I'm really getting the bug. Don't have the greatest wind site but I have hopes for a VAWT to suplement the marginal Solar Panels I have on the yard shed for lighting.

Playing with a baby Lenz2 but the guys in Canada keep sending us their excess cold and can't get out to hang it for tests .... Canada .... keep the cold - send MooseHead ....

Also packing the Daughter off to the airport this afternoon to do a term at U. Newcastle, NSW .... will get a first hand report on Oz shortly .... and maybe she can bring back an F&P as carry on when she heads home ! Kind of a rare animal around here !

Yes these spammers can be a royal pain in the backside. The guest book part of the forums is usually for guests to post messages, but in the past I started to get these unwanted messages so I locked it out. A few days ago I decided to open up the guest book again so any passing by visitors could post a message, but it didn't take long for these bottom feeding scum suckers to get in on the act and post this crap. So the guest book is now for registered members only again, which kind of defeats the purpose of a guest book really.

Any way, Hi WindChopper, welcome to the board. I wonder if we could trade some of our summer heat for your cold? And I'm sure your daughter will have a good time in Australia, we are a friendly bunch

Once she gets used to our sense of humour and expressions whe will have a great time.

Speaking of expressions, funny story. Was in the USA in 2005 for a conference. Back then I was smoking, roll your owns instead of the tailermade type of cigarette. I was in the bar for a drink and I told the waitress I was "just going out side to roll a fag". "Your going to do what!" she said.

"Roll a fag" in Australia means roll a cigarette. We call cigarettes "fags".

Another newbie here. Saw your link on OtherPower discussion board, thread about PIC programmer. Great web site - fine example of the internet at it's best. Thanx for the info.
