Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

This conversation would be better in the microcontrollers forum. You are lucky someone saw it and told me.

I am not sure which version of MMEdit you are running.
MK2 V5.1 refers to a micromite syntax file, not MMEdit version number.

You have to use the correct syntax file to suit your device. The message "X modem receive Error invalid syntax." suggests that the syntax does not match your device.

I just posted a new(ish) version of MMEdit onto my website but I don't think you are running that version.
